From the window into the Kentucky forest, where the mid morning sun shines through the trees like white gold, and shadows vibrate against the shimmer, leaves sing in the gentle breeze, fawns make a path in the dew soaked ground, baby ducks quack in the nearby pond, tree trunks standing like the limbs of a giant cricket, trampling the underbrush. But somewhere in that underbrush, they is a spot you can lay, right under the leaves, where the sunrays can tickle your skin, making you warm, but only in spots where golden white touches your skin.
Welcome to the frozen tundra, where mother nature have not sympathy for the tropical transplants. Sixteen degrees of pure skin numbing wind, slipping and sliding. So cold one can walk on water. My only escape is in my head, letting my imagination run away with me
Ahhh I can feel the warmth. Sometimes letting one’s imagination run a marathon is the best medicine.

If only we can all wake up int the morning, step out into our backyard, walk bare feet on the cold grass, maneuver our way through the flowerbed and stand amount the bloom that sparkles in the early morning sun, feeling like a yet discovered planet, surrounded by your many suns.
Ahhhh, its early morning and there I sat in the verandah, sitting where the sun bounces off the yellow coloured concrete. Feeling the warmth soak into my skin, you see it was a little chilly for the island this morning, so here I sat trying to get warm, sitting there staring at the hibiscus plant as it red leaves glittered in the morning sunshine, and here I sat, hypnotized by colour, that is until Mommy Charles calls out and I am jerked back to reality. Time to get the morning chores done.
